Sore Breasts – Menopause
Hi, I’m Dr. Maura McGill. I’m an expert in nature hormone treatments.
Today, I want to answer some questions about sore breasts and menopause. It is, in fact, the case that women who have a hormonal imbalance during menopause have usually got very low estrogen and low progesterone, but when they go on to either standard HRT or natural HRT, when their estrogen level is increased through the mechanism of tablets or creams or something, sometimes women are very sensitive to estrogen, and those women will find that their breasts become a little swollen and a little sore.
It is useful as a guide to whether they are getting too much estrogen. Any one of menopause level who has sore breasts should (A) have a breast examination and (B) have their hormones tested so that we can decide if they are having too much estrogen, or if indeed something else is going on entirely.
Be well,
